Diesel engines are built to last, but they signal trouble long before they quit. Reading those signals early is the difference between a sensor replacement and a full rebuild.
Signs worth stopping for
- Excessive exhaust smoke, especially blue or black
- Hard starting or extended cranking
- Loss of power under load
- Rising oil consumption
- Coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant
- New knocking or vibration
- Repeated DPF or DEF fault codes
If you see any of these, get a compression and leak-down test before the problem grows. Diesel diagnostics start at our posted rate and are credited toward the repair. Call (714) 909-1844.
